Featured Speaker: Annmarie Spiciarich

Annmarie Spiciarich has spent decades working in the first responder field, starting out as a paramedic, volunteer firefighter, then as a police sergeant of 23 years who developed a training program for the 911 dispatchers in her department. She now works as a registered nurse/mental health counselor at a suicide hotline and for a mobile crisis team, going out into the community to deal with emergency mental health issues.

Annmarie spent decades searching for the best ways to deal with the stressors of these jobs Some of her coping mechanisms evolved through trial and error, others through educating herself by listening and learning from many different sources of knowledge. Along the way, she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Forensic Psychology.

911 for First Responders, her upcoming book, is a practical yet engaging blueprint on how to navigate life as a first responder, both through the journey of your career and into retirement. She wants you to come out the other end with a healthier body and relationships, along with a lot more happiness along the way.
